MATh.en.JEANS is Coming To Town!

The schoolbus of Lycée Francais de Vienne with 33 cool young scientists and their teachers Camille ArmandYonnel Arrouas and Clemens Hupka on its board is coming to the town of Pécs on 19 March, 2011.

They took up Pécs city on the itinerary of their mathemagical tour to meet the Experience Workshop in its home institution, the Apáczai Education Centre.

Katalin Turi, the director of the ANC and Ms. Ildikó Szabó, maths-physics teacher and the professional leader of the Experience Workshop is already waiting them, just like other enthusiastic activists of the Experience Workshop Movement: dr. Eleonóra Stettner from the Kaposvár University or dr. László Vörös from the Pécs University and our nice interpreter, Alexandra Besenczi, English-teacher.

Last year, the Hungarian Studies program at the University of Jyväskylä had its twentieth anniversary. This twenty years is also the time-span of the political transition in Hungary. Now it is time to seize the opportunity to take an overview of the 20-year-history of Hungarian Studies within the framework of a jubilee conference on March 15, 2011.

Board Games in the Digital Media - Kristof Fenyvesi′s new article was published in the 2011 / January issue of the Hungarian Iskolakultúra [School-Culture] Journal.

From game philosophy to digital game studies the article shows the connection between the traditional board games and some nowadays popular computer games, while introduce such key-concepts and phenomena as transmediality, implementation, adaptation, pervasive games, alternative reality games, passively multiplayer online games, living media and mixed reality applications...

Társasjáték a digitális médiában címmel olvasható Fenyvesi Kristóf játéktudományi dolgozata az Iskolakultúra folyóirat 2011. januári számában.

A játékfilozófiai kérdésektől a digitális játékok elméletéig kalauzoló tanulmány néhány jelentősebb példán keresztül bemutatja a táblás játékoktól napjaink népszerű hálózati játékaiig vezető utat, miközben olyan problémákba is bevezet, mint a transzmedialitás, az implementáció és az adaptáció kérdése, és olyan jelenségekkel is megismertet mint a pervazivitás, az alternatív valóság játékok, az élő média (living media) és a kevert valóság (mixed media) alkalmazások. A dolgozat alapját képező előadás 2009. szeptember 19-én, a Kiss Áron Magyar Játéktársaság által, a keszthelyi Festetics kastélyban megrendezett konferencián hangzott el.
